Review: Korres Wild Rose Make Up Collection

Korres are a relatively new Greek brand set up in 1996 out of Athens first ever homoeopathic pharmacy. Their extensive range of skin, hair and make up products are all infused with the brand’s careful clinical research coupled with their commitment to natural products that really deliver results to the consumer.

Their new Wild Rose make up collection (an ingredient that features in each product) includes a foundation, concealer and powder that are all dermatologically tested, mineral oil free, Propylene glycol free and ethanolamine free as well as all being enriched with Vitamin E and A. I have a special love for companies that shun synthetic ingredients and show their ability to produce a collection that’s both kind to the skin while still being effective.

The Wild Rose foundation (around €26) comes in 6 shades and boasts an SPF 20. It’s a light creamy product that blends well and enhances rather than masks the skin. Unfortunately, the lightest shade isn’t quite pale enough for my skin but I tend to always fall outside the normal palest shade within a brand and most people won’t have an issue in this area. Apart from that, it’s a lovely light and fresh foundation that would suit most skin types and is reasonably priced against other big brand foundations.

The concealer  (€16.70) and powder (€26.00) are similarly lovely, offering a magic touch that disguises and enhances the skin without caking it in make up and again are perfect for those who suffer with sensitive skin and react adversely to certain synthetic ingredients often found in cosmetics.

This brand encompasses what natural make up should be about, offering products that are kind to the skin on the inside and the outside. To learn more about the brand philosophy and product selection, visit their website here
