Baftas Red Carpet Looks Revealed

I absolutely love finding out what products are used on celebrities for red carpet events so was delighted to get the low down from Lancome on the hot looks they created for some of the most beautiful ladies at the Baftas. Here’s a sneak peek at what products were used on stars Christina Ricci, Penelope Cruz, Melissa George and Gillian Anderson on the night.

Which is your favourite look?

Christina Ricci

Make Up Artist: Sam Bessant
Inspiration: Sexy Siren Look

Effet Miracle Primer Skin Perfecting Base
Teint Idole Ultra 24hour foundation 010 & 01

Ink Artliner
Ombre Absolue Intemporel Smoky
Hypnose Darama mascara

Rouge In Love Rouge Valentine 185 N

Quotes from Christina Ricci’s Make Up Artist Sam Bessant:
“ We wanted to play up both the eyes and the lips for a modern, sexy siren look.
I primed her face with Effet Miracle Primer Skin Perfecting Base around the nose and forehead.  I used Teint Idole Ultra 24h Foundation  010 for the centre and 01 for the cheek bones and temples.

I swept a line along the top lashes with Ink Artliner in Black 01 which was softened and diffused with a brush. Next a soft sweep of black eye shadow from Ombre Absolue ‘Intemporel Smoky’and lashings of Hypnose Drama mascara in Black brushed up and outward for a feline accent to the lashes. Stand out lips from the gorgeous new Rouge in Love collection in Rouge Valentine 185N.

I love Hypnose Drama mascara. I apply several layers to the top lashes then wipe the wand with a tissue to remove excess and then sweep the brush vertically over the bottom lashes for a perfect finish.”

Quotes from Melissa George’s Lancôme Make Up Artist:  Maya Rikner
Melissa wanted a dramatic look with smoky stand-out eyes.  We prepped her skin with new Visionnaire Advanced Skin Corrector to minimize her pores and ensure deep hydration for the whole evening. Hydra Zen Eye Contour Gel Cream was patted under her eyes to reduce any puffiness and signs of fatigue.  For a warm look, we mixed Teint Idole Ultra 24h 01 and 03 and Poudre Majeure 01 to ensure the long lasting staying power.  On the apples of her cheeks I applied Rose Sable from the Blush Subtl collection and finished with Star Bronzer Mineral Mat Natural Bronze 03 for shading and a honey bronzed finish.

To make the eyes really stand out, I used the rich colours from the Ombre Absolue collection in Strass Amethyst and Strass Black, Le Crayon Khol 01 Noir on the inside of the eye for a dramatic look and finished with Cils Booster XL under the mascara to give extra volume and length and Hypnose Drama Mascara in Black.

She has beautiful lips and we wanted to enhance them with Contour Pro lip liner in Rose Boise 303 a base colour of Rouge in Love’s Rose Rendez-vous 230M lipstick followed by a glossy top layer of Rouge In Love’s vibrant Violet Coquette in 381B.

Her gorgeous nail polish was from the new Vernis in Love collection in Bleu De Flore, 573B
